About Me
Hi, I'm Phil and welcome to the website for PG Wildlife!
Wildlife is my passion, and always has been since I can remember. Learning about our natural world has been an ever present pastime for me, either watching nature documentaries or researching animals in books, there is always more to learn. I enjoy educating others on the beauty of our natural world, and trying to ignite a passion for wildlife. Wildlife photography was an obvious choice to embellish this passion. Capturing precious moments and interesting behaviours which lead to questions, raising awareness of how important our wildlife is, and the preservation of our wild spaces. The more time I spent out in the wilderness, the bigger the drive got to capture images that invoked emotion. This has taken all over the UK in search of different species and photographic opportunities.
Since then I've had my photos featured by the BBC, The Times, varying nature publications along with being published internationally.
I have gained recognition from winning local photography competitions along with being runner up for MPOY23 and reaching the final round of BWPA 23/24

“Photography for me is not looking, it’s feeling. If you can’t feel what you’re looking at, then you’re never going to get others to feel anything when they look at your pictures.”
— Don McCullin
